Netop Vision Celebrates Digital Citizenship Week

Educators and child development experts agree that technology can have profound impact whether positive or negative on students’ learning, social development, and behavior. The ultimate goal is to maximize the positive impact by empowering students to model online behavior that is safe, legal and ethical through Digital Citizenship Program (Dig Cit). Many organizations are working to support and promote this program such as International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and Common Sense Education. Dig Cit continues to gain momentum not just in the US, but also in other countries worldwide. Just as we teach students the rules of society and academic principles, it is imperative that we also teach them the rules of the digital world.

As provider of classroom management software designed to keep students safe and on-task, we at Netop Vision invite all teachers, IT leaders, and parents to participate in Digital Citizenship Week 2017 from October 16-20 and take the Dig Cit pledge to raise awareness through a number of activities.
